:: Statement Regarding Overnight & Weekend Passes ::
· · Greetings, there has been a lot of pressure to offer Weekend passes and Day passes. We want to explain a bit about why this was a difficult decision to reach. · ·
✴ · ✴ · ✴
· · ⇝ From a safety standpoint, we don't actually want people to drive away at the end of the night after 12 hours of festivities. We would rather they at least stay till sun up the next day. So let's call them overnight passes instead of day passes.
· ·⇝ From a thematic standpoint, we want people to camp. Day passes may cause things to deviate away from the 'bonfire campout' aspect. Being so close to Portland also has this effect since it makes it really easy to come and go.
· ·⇝ From a traffic standpoint, it's a bit difficult to reserve a 'temporary parking' lot at the site... but not insurmountable.
✴ · ✴ · ✴
All in all, it was stated from the beginning that if anyone came up with a viable way to handle overnight passes, we would consider the pros and cons at that time. That hadn't really happened until this week.
· · The proposed solution to overnight, and weekend passes are as such · ·
When you get an overnight pass, we keep a card on file... much like getting a hotel room. An overnight pass will be good for an entire day until noon the next day. If the person doesn't 'check out' by then we will assume that they wish to stay another day and will add that to their final bill.
Nobody will be permitted to leave if noticeably intoxicated. We will offer water and tell them to check back at a time when they appear to be sober.
Weekend camping passes are a little easier. It doesn't present a lot of the same challenges as overnight passes. The downside is that it's not as great a deal as the 5 day camping pass. So it goes. 'Check out' time for the weekend pass is noon Monday, as with the 5 day camping pass.
So, after much deliberation, we are going to offer, 5 day camping passes, Weekend camping passes, and Overnight passes, as follows:
⇝ 5 Day camping pass $200
⇝Weekend camping pass $160
⇝ Overnight pass $60
So without further ado, these three types of passes will be available effective immediately.
A five day bonfire campout and music festival with live bands, ritual performance, art, and artisans taking place in the beautiful Pacific Northwest forest at Dundee Lodge ~ located just west of Portland in Gaston, Oregon next to Hagg Lake.
We cordially invite you to join our family in the woods.
