THURSDAY:

Botanical Spirit Illustrations with Soulwise Art
In this workshop, we will spend time connecting with the medicine of plants in our natural environment, and documenting what we find using a variety of media including pencil, pen & ink, watercolor and markers. 
Participants will learn:
- Introductory skills in drawing from observation - Ways to enhance your illustration with drawing and painting techniques - How to establish a relationship with a plant, and learn to sense its unique essence and character - How to translate what you experience into a visual format 

You will come away with one or more completed pieces. Prior art experience is helpful, but not required.
Bring a small sketchbook and your favorite art materials, or use those provided.

This one hour exploration of the ancient runic alphabet called the elder futhark is a journey around the circle of runes, learning their history, magic, and the old tales surrounding them. Together, we will journey through the mysteries of Freyja (Norse), Nephthys (Egyptian), and Circe (Greek), discovering how each goddess can support your path of healing, magic, and authentic manifestation.Our container will conclude with a Dark Goddess invocation and a guided shamanic journey to meet the goddess who wishes to walk beside you in this season of your life.

Dance of Lughnasadh with Tiare Valouria

This dance was written as a means for connecting with and grounding into the liminality of this sacred cross quarter. A spoke in the Wheel of the Year also known as the First Harvest which honors the Sun God Lugh and Tailtiu, the goddess who clears the land for agriculture. 
​It has been formulated into a motif reflecting movements inspired by the the Sun God as he wanes, the full moon which rises and sets, and the spirit of the Goddesses of agriculture - Demeter/Ceres, Tailtiu, and Mother Isis.​
With steps portraying the setting sun, crushing of grapes to make wine, and giving back to the earth with offerings of gratitude for all that mother Gaia sustains us with.​

Wild Voice Singing Workshop with Ayla Realta of Earth Women
-Open to all humans. Beginners welcome-
Ayla Réalta will lead and demonstrate a variety of vocal techniques that build resilience and strength for feral singing. Then she will teach an ancient Lemko song of the Carpathian Mountains- Oj Wersze Mij Wersze. Oh Mountains, My Mountains. This traditional Eastern European style of singing, and these vocal techniques challenge western notions of “pretty” singing. The invitation is to be obnoxious. Allowing the voice to be impolite is an essential right of passage to healthy, strong and controlled singing. It is what helps us uncover our authentic and resilient WildVoice. Ayla has been training her voice in many genres for over 20 years. She loves teaching unique vocal techniques that improve confidence and singing quality.
